Princeton Regional Schools
Harassment, Intimidation & Bullying
Princeton Regional Schools take every report of harassment, intimidation and bullying very seriously.  The PRS administration and Board of Education have worked diligently on civility and anti-bullying policies.  We have worked hard to ensure that we are in compliance with the harassment, intimidation, and bullying legislation in New Jersey.  Our intention is to ensure that our schools are safe and nurturing environments for every student and employee and that all students are taught to learn and engage with one another with compassion and empathy.

Princeton Regional Schools is excited to be a part of the EcoMUVE (Multi-User Virtual Environments) project of the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Beginning in February, the sixth grade science students will participate in an EcoMUVE that uses immersive virtual environments to teach middle school students about ecosystems and causal patterns. Using an inquiry approach, students work individually at their computers and collaborate in teams within a virtual world to explore a pond and its surrounding and its changes over several weeks during the summer. The immersive interface allows students to learn science by exploring and solving problems in realistic environments.  Parental consent is required for students to participate in the pre/post survey about scientific inquiry and content knowledge related to the unit. We hope you will sign the consent form and return to your child’s science teacher.
If you have questions, please contact Dr. Cherry Sprague, Supervisor of Science, at 609-806-4280 x 3660.

The Do Something Club will start collecting toiletries and make-up bags for WomanSpace on January 17th - January 31st. All donations can be given to Mrs. Riely in room B104 or placed in the collection box in the Commons. We are collecting shampoo, conditioner, make-up, make-up bags, perfume, lotion and anything that would help a family with everyday needs.

All 7th graders at JW will be receiving free membership to YMCA during the 2011-12 School-year.
Thanks to the fine efforts of Mr. Kevin Walsh, senior program coordinator at the YMCA, Every 7th grader at JW will be given a free membership to the YMCA.  Individual lessons/activities may still require nominal fees, however, the membership privileges will permit our students to take advantage of many new opportunities.   This fall, among other activities, the YMCA will be offering “Ultimate Frisbee.”   We encourage each of our 7th graders to become involved in this amazing opportunity, to exercise, to welcome this new responsibility, and to meet new friends.  Many thanks to Mr. Kevin Walsh and the YMCA.  Please click on the link to the brochure to see what activities you may be interested in exploring!
